# linear_user (Data Source)

Looks up a Linear user by UUID or email — the usual way to resolve the `user_id` a `linear_team_membership` or `linear_triage_responsibility` needs.

### Optional

- `email` (String) Email address of the user. Set either this or `id`.
- `id` (String) UUID of the user. Set either this or `email`.

### Read-Only

- `active` (Boolean) Whether the account is active rather than deactivated.
- `admin` (Boolean) Whether the user is a workspace admin.
- `avatar_url` (String) URL of the user's avatar.
- `display_name` (String) Short name Linear shows the user under.
- `guest` (Boolean) Whether the user is a guest, seeing only the teams they were invited to.
- `name` (String) Full name of the user.
- `timezone` (String) Timezone the user works in.
- `url` (String) URL of the user's Linear profile.
