# linear_template (Data Source)

Reads a Linear template by UUID.

There is no lookup by name: Linear exposes no template collection to search, only `templatesForIntegration`, which is scoped to an integration rather than the workspace.

### Required

- `id` (String) UUID of the template.

### Read-Only

- `color` (String) Colour of the template icon as a hex string.
- `description` (String) Description of the template.
- `icon` (String) Icon of the template.
- `name` (String) Name of the template.
- `sort_order` (Number) Sort position of the template in the template list.
- `team_id` (String) UUID of the team the template belongs to, null when it is shared across the workspace.
- `template_json` (String) Template body as Linear stores it.
- `type` (String) Entity the template applies to, e.g. `issue` or `project`.
