# linear_workflow_state (Data Source)

Looks up a workflow state of a Linear team, by UUID or by team and name.

Useful for pointing a `linear_git_automation_state` at a state this configuration does not manage.

## Schema

### Optional

- `id` (String) UUID of the state. Set either this, or `team_id` together with `name`.
- `name` (String) Name of the state. Set together with `team_id`.
- `team_id` (String) UUID of the team. Set together with `name` when looking a state up by name — state names are unique per team, not per workspace.

### Read-Only

- `color` (String) Colour of the state as a hex string.
- `description` (String) Description of the state.
- `position` (Number) Sort position of the state within its category.
- `type` (String) Category the state belongs to — `triage`, `backlog`, `unstarted`, `started`, `completed`, `canceled` or `duplicate`.
